Honey Garden

The Domžale Beekeeping Society is setting up a new educational beehouse on the outskirts of Domžale and I was invited to participate and propose a design for a beekeeping garden, where of course the main role would be played by honey plants. As this would be an educational garden, I opted for simple design and good accessibility of the beds, which is why formal straight beds alternate with pathways. In order not to be too uniform and rigorous, I envisioned beds of different lengths, and the garden to be surrounded by disconnected hedges in organic forms. The first phase, represented by beds of perennials, will be completed this year and the second phase is scheduled for completion in 2020.
