New Planting on Terraces

Two new terraces were just calling for some planting. I designed metal troughs that, on the one hand, would together with the plants obscure the views inward, and on the other hand complement the otward view of the beautiful landscape around the building. The color palette is reserved, which matches the style of interiors. As the plants will grow, a texturally rich pallet that extends from evergreen compact conifers to the softest lines of ornamental grasses will become nicely visible. As a final touch, inflorescences of the Macednian scabious (Knautia macedonica) will appear among the grass in summer. They will be a perfect match with the wine red carpet in the apartment and will gracefully refine the reserved set of green and bluish-gray shades.
