In Paris, the city’s public transport company commissioned a new contemporary building. The architectural practice responsible for the project invited me to collaborate on its green design. The building incorporates extensive planting, and I prepared the plant selection and planting plan for a secondary green façade that wraps around the sides of the building and continues over the roof.
The design is based on climbing plants, where the key challenge was to find the right balance between sufficient green coverage and openness. The vegetation needed to create a strong living layer around the architecture while still allowing enough natural light to enter the building.
