Greening a Dull Parking Lot
I have a slightly different project underway than I am used to. The client wanted to improve a very dull sandy parking lot in a small Slovenian town. Since the parking lot is located along the main road through town, I decided to plant a shorter avenue in this part and lean on tradition, while in the rest we would »randomly« add shrubs, trees and some ornamental grasses to provide an interesting appearance all year long. I opted for this random layout because the other side of the parking lot is in contact with meadows and natural vegetation by the river. I am a big critic of parking lots without greenery, so this task made me especially happy.
