This public green space in Medvode was designed as a contemporary and dynamic planting scheme adapted to demanding urban conditions. The gravel beds are dominated by drought- and heat-tolerant species, complemented by selected traditional garden perennials that add seasonal colour and a richer overall effect.
Ornamental grasses play an important role, introducing movement, lightness and a strong sense of rhythm, particularly on windy days. Evergreen shrubs provide a permanent structural framework and ensure that the planting retains a clear presence throughout the year. The result is a resilient public landscape with a strong seasonal character, combining texture, colour and movement in a distinctly contemporary way.
