Vegetable gardens are not renowned for their aesthetics, too often they are just a functional cultivated area. In order not to imitate only the traditional patterns of cottage gardens surrounded by a wooden plot and with geometric design, I opted for organic beds. Because the grounds are very heavy, we designed the metal edges a little differently. These are quite high and enable yearly adding of new organic material or larger quantities of mulch. This increases fertility, while at the same time higher level of beds provides better drainage.
Organic beds in the middle are intended primarily for vegetables, while two beds on the longer sides host perennials, annuals and bulbs.
